Is Teeth Whitening Healthy?

Is Teeth Whitening Healthy?

Everyone loves to eat.
We even keep a very wide range of meals on the menu as we are Turkish people. Desserts, salt, hot, cold, the list goes longer. Being so fond of food does not only return us to lose weight, it can also cause great damage to the teeth. Dental rot, cracking and color changes can cause serious problems. Later, we suffer. Although not as important as the others, our teeth lose their whiteness by consuming food, drink (coffee, wine, tea) over the years. Smoking is the main reason for this. We are trying to prevent various methods. But nowadays, dentists can easily restore the color of our teeth. I want to give you some information about this. What is tooth whitening, how is it done? How much will it take? Is there any harm?
What is tooth whitening?
Teeth whitening is a procedure for teeth whitening and reducing color change. A thin layer is formed on the tooth enamel, which is the outermost layer of our teeth. There are stains on this layer over time and there are tiny pores that allow these stains to stabilize. Whitening is not a one-time solution, it is necessary to repeat it from time to time to achieve better results.
The bruises in the teeth are treated before bleaching. If not, the whitening lotion can reach the inside of the dental caries, which increases the sensitivity of the tooth. Bleaching can be done at home or in the clinic. These methods are called office bleaching and home bleaching. The clinical bleaching process lasts for several sessions, ranging from 30 to 60 minutes.
In clinical bleaching, the dentist uses a special protective gel and then uses the bleaching agent. Bleaching agents are activated by heat, special light and chemical substances. After the whitening agent is applied, the dentist shines your tooth. There are also dentists who use only laser instead of heat.
In house whitening molds are used according to tooth size. You should fill the whitening agent provided by the physician and use at least a few hours a day. It can damage the gums unless it is done carefully. The tooth whitening method has no significant side effects but provides sensitivity. In addition, pregnant women are not recommended.
